Going along with A Song of Ice is this blend, named for House Targaryen and featuring peated whisky from Caol Ila. The iconic Striding Man is facing left on this bottle, rather than the usual right, so that when it’s positioned next to A Song of Ice, the opposition of the two houses is clear.

Whisky Advocate says:

Because White Walker—and a slew of single malts—wasn’t enough to sate thirsty Game of Thrones fans, now there are these two new blends. Although the show is over, you can always re-watch it while drinking these whiskies—or hold onto them until the planned prequels arrive.

Glen Moray master distiller Graham Coull (who just announced his departure for Ireland’s Dingle Distillery) has become known for his cask finishing prowess, and you don’t have to buy this 21 year old to experience it for yourself. The distillery’s core range of non-age statement single malts includes port, sherry, cabernet sauvignon, and chardonnay finishes, all very reasonably priced. Still, if you’re looking for a splurge on an age-stated scotch, you could do much worse; besides this new 21 year old—which we’ll review soon—Glen Moray 18 year old scored 92 points and was named No. 10 in the 2017 Top 20.
