Originally created at Trader Vic’s in Oakland, California, in the 1950s, this classic tiki recipe—which uses bourbon or rye instead of rum—has been slightly modified by Brother Cleve.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz. rye or bourbon
- 2 ½ oz. orange juice
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ¼ oz. orgeat
- ¼ oz. simple syrup
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin; add ice and shake. Strain into a rocks glass over a 1×1 inch ice cube or serve up in a cocktail glass.
