The modern classic Scotch cocktail that’s beloved by bartenders and drinkers alike was first created by Sam Ross of Milk & Honey in New York City. Feel free to substitute an Islay single malt for the blended whisky.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz. blended Scotch whisky
- ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
- ¾ oz. honey syrup
- ¼ oz. Islay single malt scotch
- 2-3 quarter-size slices fresh ginger
- Candied ginger, to garnish
DIRECTIONS
Muddle fresh ginger in a shaker and add the remaining ingredients, except for the Islay single malt. Shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Float the Islay whisky on top and garnish.
