Created by Liz Pearce, beverage director at Fulton Market Kitchen in Chicago this cocktail blends liqueurs for a full-flavor effect. “Boomerang is a fruit- and nut-based liqueur, with notes of dried cherry and almond. The Tepache is a riff on a traditional Mexican liqueur, made with pineapple rinds and lots of spices—it really does taste like liquid pumpkin pie. Add in the smoky and slightly sweet whisky notes, and you’ve got a drink that reminds you of a holiday fireplace,” Pearce says.
