Whiskey and sherry go well together in the barrel and in the glass. This rye-based cobbler from Gallow Green at the McKittrick Hotel adds fresh berries to make a truly a refreshing summer cocktail.
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 6-8 raspberries
- ½ oz. simple syrup
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ¾ oz. Amontillado sherry
- 1½ oz. rye whiskey
- Garnish: 1-3 raspberries on a skewer
Combine all liquid ingredients and berries in a shaker with ice and shake. Pour without straining into rocks glass. Garnish with a berry on a skewer.
