The traditional Bramble uses gin, but this variation, created by Frank Liotti of Freemans in New York City, incorporates Basil Hayden’s rye.
INGREDIENTS
- 1½ oz. Basil Hayden’s rye
- ¾ oz. lemon juice
- ½ oz. blackberry liqueur
- 4 basil leaves
- 4 blackberries
- Garnish: basil leaf
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Hard shake and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a basil leaf.
