
Raspberries anchor this cocktail, created by Chelsea Harkness, bar manager at 1921 by Norman Van Aken in Mount Dora, Fla. “Plump sweet-tart raspberries lighten the molasses and allspice notes of the bourbon to create a refreshing cocktail,” Harkness says.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 large raspberries
- 2 oz. High West American Prairie Bourbon (or other bourbon)
- ½ oz. Heering Cherry Liqueur
- 3 dashes Bittermens Xocolatl Mole bitters (optional)
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 orange peel
DIRECTIONS
Muddle raspberries in a mixing glass. Add bourbon, cherry liqueur, and bitters. Stir with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with orange peel.
