Grandpa’s Ice Cream [Cocktail Recipe]

Created by Adrian Grossman, head bartender at Social Drink and Food in New York City, this whiskey-based milkshake is perfect for PB fanatics. “This cocktail tastes like a drinkable peanut butter candy bar with a nice little kick,” Grossman says. Sure beats your childhood PB&J!


  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • 1 heaping scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 Tbs. peanut butter
  • ½ oz. maple syrup
  • Garnish: Crushed peanuts; ground cinnamon; cinnamon stick (optional); caramel chip (optional)


Blend all ingredients in a blender. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with crushed peanuts, ground cinnamon, cinnamon stick, and caramel chip.
