When asked how she got into the bourbon business, Rachel has a different answer every time. Not because she simply enjoys telling stories, but because her path has been unique.
Before moving to Kentucky in 2010 to join Maker’s Mark, Rachel was an Emmy nominated television writer and producer, a graphics operator for live sports broadcasts and a radio DJ.
In her 8 years at Maker’s Mark, she’s helped establish and introduce the Private Select barrel program, develop educational programs and worked hand in hand with some of America’s best whisky bars and societies to create their own custom Maker’s Mark Private Select barrels; today as a Heritage team leader for Maker’s Mark Distillery she spends her time sharing her knowledge and stories with bourbon fans around the country – come and join Rachel from Maker’s Mark to try some exclusive Private Select barrel creations!
