Edwin Cruz
A native Angeleno, Edwin Cruz grew up in the Los Angeles bar and restaurant world. After attending UC Santa Cruz to pursue a career in clinical psychology, he found himself drawn back into the scene, where he discovered his love for all things spirts & the creativity that comes with being behind the bar.
Prior to joining Beam Suntory, Edwin spent the last 10 year leading some of the most awarded cocktail bars in Los Angeles and Portland, including The Spare Room at the Hollywood Roosevelt, winner of best American hotel bar & Expatriate in Portland, semifinalist for the James beard award for Best Outstanding bar. He holds a passion for educating and sharing his spirits and cocktail knowledge and hold numerous wins in national and international cocktail competitions.
He has a deep love for the west coast food & drink scene, always looking to build meaningful relationships with His enthusiastic and positive approach to everything.
In his off time, he can be found restoring mid-century furniture, playing golf and enjoying his ever growing vinyl collection while sipping some fine American whiskey!
