Distiller’s Selection Ambassador  |  Pernod Ricard
With more than ten years in the hospitality industry, Alex Thibault uses his experiences to educate others in his role as Distillers Selection Ambassador for Pernod Ricard.
Hailing from New England, he first got his start at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, Massachusetts when he was just 18. He tended bar at Margaritas and then at The Boathouse in Tiverton Rhode Island, while earning his degree from Keene State College.
Having graduated, he moved to Boston where he worked the bar at Catalyst Restaurant in Cambridge, rising up the ranks to become Beverage Director, developing signature cocktails and beverage pairings to complement the cuisine.
Alex is member of the USBG’s chapter in Boston and his technical skills are matched only by his people skills. He loves the personal interaction bartending entails, ready with a story or joke to back up an expertly mixed cocktail, whether to maintain or change for the better his customer’s mood.
With such talents, it should come as no surprise that Alex is also quite the chef and enjoys entertaining friends at home on his nights off. On his days off, you can often find him back in his hometown of Westport or hanging out at the beach playing volleyball.
