Few whiskey cocktails are simpler than this, a combination of bourbon, ginger beer or ale, and a little lime juice. It goes well with any rich and fatty food, including these spice-rubbed chicken wings.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz. bourbon
- ¼ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 oz. ginger beer or 3 oz. ginger ale
- Garnish: orange wheel
DIRECTIONS
Add bourbon and lime juice to a highball glass filled with ice and top with 2 oz. ginger beer or 3 oz. ginger ale. Gently stir and garnish with an orange wheel.
Top Tip: Any quality bourbon will work here, but a wheated bourbon, like W.L. Weller Special Reserve or Maker’s Mark, shows especially well with the ginger beer, a spicier choice than standard ginger ale.
